The University of Miami hosted the Miami Teaching, Learning and Technology Collective in December, an inter-institutional venture focused on sharing and collaborating on efforts relating to teaching, instructional design and other skills.
University of Miami's Academic Technologies Department hosted the inaugural Miami Teaching, Learning and Collective event to UM attendees as well as those of neighboring schools. With a total of 30 attendees from Miami Dade College, Florida International University, and University of Miami, the event covered a wide range of topics through 6 presentations discussing topics such as teaching, faculty development and technology. The Miami Teaching, Learning and Collective event focused on sharing and collaborating on efforts related to instructional design, higher education settings and much more, in the broader context of Miami and South Florida.
