3D Printing Featured In eVeritas

June 1st, 2017

In spring 2017, the Academic Technologies team expanded the use of 3D printing in UM courses by collaborating with Richter Library to add three new Ultimaker 3D printers to their Digital Media Lab.

3D Printing uses the process of making a physical object from a three dimensional digital model. Due to the versatility of 3D printing designs, universities incorporating 3D printing into their courses changes the way students learn and the way that educators teach.

Prices are based on printing type as well as project type. M3D Printer is $1/HR, and Ultimaker 3 is $2/HR.

Visit Richter’s Library Digital Media Lab (Room 118), where you request more information on scheduling 3D Printing appointments, pricing and more. It is recommended to schedule a consultation with the Digital Media Lab beforehand, to review the requested project.
